1. What are your greatest strengths?
It is the most important question. How you answer this question sets you apart from other applicants. It is a very basic question so you are expected to ace this question. You cannot be humble nor arrogant about your skills. Recommendation: (experience, technical skills, communication skills)

2. What are your greatest weaknesses?
Don’t be too honest. I recommend that you deal with the weakNESS answer by giving a serious answer and that you currently taking steps to deal with it. Whatever it is make sure that it does not affect your job. If you cannot think of anything, just give the common interview lie like “I sometimes push others too hard”

3. Why did you leave your last job?
Stay positive regardless of the real reason. Never refer to a major problem with management and never speak badly of your previous supervisors, co-workers or the organization. One of the better answers is that you have achieved as much as you could and is looking for a new position at the company.

4. Why should we hire you?
Even if the interviewer does not directly ask this question, you need to answer this questions somehow before you leave the room. Point out how your assets meet what the organization needs. Try to point out each requirement for the position and state why you meet all of them.

5. Are you a team player? / Do you work well with others?
You are a team player. Be sure to have examples ready. Specifics that show you often perform for the good of the team rather than for yourself are good evidence of your team attitude.

6. Explain how you would be an asset / Why do you think you would do well at this job?
You should be prepared for this question. It gives you a chance to highlight your best points as they relate to the position being discussed. It is about how your strengths fit well with their needs.

7. Why do you want to work for this organization?
This should be based on the research you have done on the organization. Sincerity is very important here and the lack of it is easily detected. Relate it to your long-term career goals.

8. Tell me about a suggestion you have made.
Have a good one ready. Be sure and use a suggestion that was accepted and was then considered successful. One related to the type of work applied for is really good.

9. Tell me about a problem you had with a supervisor.
This is a test to see if you will speak badly of your boss. Stay positive and do not say anything specific about any trouble with a supervisor.

10. What have you learned from mistakes on the job?
Most good answers are specific, for example, here is what I did and why it was so bad. Bad answers are full of hesitation or really vague. Here you have to come up with something or you strain credibility. Make it a small mistake with a positive lesson learned. An example would be working at a different pace from your colleagues on a project and thus throwing things off.
